Week 11: Long Form Television
For this week's assignment, I chose A Series of Unfortunate Events. This series is about the Baudelaire children and distant relative of whom they have to stay with due to an incident with the children's parents. With Olaf set to claim the family fortune for himself, the Baudelaire children determine to uncover the mystery behind a secret society from their parents past.
With this of media. I've discovered that this experience can be different for everyone. I found personally to better experience a series of shows not watched all at once. I found that is better to take in the series bit by bit. With long form television it is nice to be able to get to know the characters in the series over time. But again the experience can be different for everyone. I also found that with long form television there can be more opportunities to stretch stories or even create something new in a way to the series that may have started off as a movie. Additional characters can be another example of this as well.
